The WhitePleats sushi station brings the Tokyo Izakaya Sushi bar to you. The origin of Izakaya goes back as far as 1603. Typically, at an Izakaya, customers can see over the counter and watch the chefs prepare sushi and other cuisine. This interaction between the customers, the chef and the food make Izakaya part of Japan’s history and an iconic part of Japan’s food culture. Here, our chefs elegantly hand-craft each sushi using the best and freshest ingredients and create a distinctive style that is customizable to your liking. Taco Station
WhitePleats’ taco station combines a Taqueria and authentic Mexican Cuisine in one. Tacos became part of traditional Mexican cuisine in the early 20th century in Mexico City where it began as a miners’ snack sold on the street corners in the city. Since then, it has been an important part of Mexican Culinary culture. Our chef combines a number of fresh high-quality ingredients that one would usually find in a fine-dining establishment in a tortilla that will keep you coming back for more. This breathtaking “Chicano cuisine” is traditional but subtly innovative, and our chefs create well-versed classic tacos with touches of creativity. Antipasto Station
Antipasto literally means “before meal”. it is deep-rooted in medieval Italy with the evolution of Italian cuisine; antipasto has taken on the form of many new dishes that became a part of Italy’s culture and food. Here at WhitePleats, our Antipasto station will not disappoint. Our elegantly set up and stylish grazing station has the best mouthwatering cured meat selection, delectable fine cheeses, fresh fruit, and fine nuts that will make your experience worthwhile. Our Antipasto station is unique where chefs can customize your own Antipasto platter with your choice of our fine ingredients. This makes our station interactive as well as fun.
Rustic Pizza Station
There are many things in this world we can argue about, but there is one thing that we all can agree on, that pizza is one of the best tastiest dishes on the planet. Pizza was first documented in 997 AD in Gaeta and in different parts of central and southern Italy. Pizza was mainly eaten in Italy and by immigrants. When allied troops were stationed in Italy they came to enjoy pizza. In the 19th century, Italian immigrants brought Pizza to the U.S. and now it is part of American history. At White Pleats Rustic Pizza station every single pizza is as wonderfully distinguished as the last. Our pizza is a Neapolitan dough with a puffed-up pillowy edge, crisped from the intense heat of the wood-fired oven bringing that rustic feel of Naples to you. Asian Fusion Stir Fry Station
WhitePleats’ Asian stir fry station walks you through different regions of Asia, serving the best Asian fusion stir fry experience you can get. As early as the 1960’s, American chefs were experimenting with blending European and Asian cuisines, and throughout the centuries Chefs developed and mastered what we all know now as Asian fusion cuisine, a cuisine which is part of the culinary history. Craving that mouth-watering K-BBQ? At White Pleats Korean BBQ Station your cravings will be satisfied. Traced back to a nomadic group of people, the Maek were the first to develop cooking meat via open flame. The cooking method was passed on and was brought to the Korean peninsula and developed into a hip and trendy food. Beef and pork lovers get excited! We will bring “Gogi-jip”(meat house) to you. Our in-house Chefs masterfully craft perfectly aged, thinly cut premium Hanwoo beef and pork cooked to perfection in front of you, and with our extravagant selection of Korean side dishes you will be coming back for more.
Carving Station
Carving stations started in the 12th century as part of a buffet, where royals dined and bathed in bread and meat. The Chinese immigrants who settled in Calcutta opened restaurant businesses in the area; these early Chinese immigrants adapted their culinary styles to suit the tastes of their Indian patrons using spices and flavors familiar to the Indian palate. WhitePleats’ slider station features the best hand crafted and cooked to perfection American tapas. “Sliders” was a term used for a hamburger in the U.S. Navy in the 1940’s – the term meant greasy burgers that slid easily and it became popular and developed throughout the years. It is now one of the most iconic American foods in history. Our flavor packed sliders are irresistible and fun to eat, and our chefs meticulously create each one and use the freshest ingredients giving each slider a perfect flavor combination in one single bite. WhitePleats’ salad and sandwich station is a one-stop-shop for delicious and healthy creations. In ancient times Greeks and Romans gathered and layered raw vegetables, drizzling vinegar and oil, and herbs over top to create the world’s first salad and throughout the centuries salad became a staple meal for health enthusiasts. Sandwiches became popular in England in the 17th century and held their place as go-to comfort food. Our station offers impeccable ingredients, our freshest organic vegetables, the finest cheeses for your salad, and delectable deli meats for your sandwiches that are enjoyable and will keep you coming back for more.
BBQ & Wings Station
You don’t have to be in Buffalo or down South to taste the best wings and BBQ. At WhitePleats BBQ and wings station we will bring you the best wings and BBQ in town. Charting the path of a Caribbean cooking style brought north by Spanish conquistadors, moved westward by settlers, and seasoned with the flavors of European cultures, the history of American barbecue is as diverse as the variations themselves. Developed in the south in the 1900s Texas, Memphis, and Kansas were the first three states who made American BBQ what it is today. On the other hand, wings were invented in Buffalo, New York in 1964, where chicken wings that were considered scrap were deep fried and tossed with a hot sauce that became an iconic part of American history, hence the NY BUFFALO wings were born. Mediterranean Station
WhitePleats’ Mediterranean Station brings an eclectic Mediterranean cuisine to your plate, not only encompassing a few regions but the whole Mediterranean Sea. Mediterranean cuisine is fairly new dating back to the 1950’s and is now one of the most popular cuisines shared by a diverse array of people. There is a vast amount of cultural variance in the cooking found in this geographic region. Our chef infuses a hint of whimsy into each dish and delivers on flavor and quality you won’t forget. Elegantly set up, we offer incomparable fish, meats, and fresh vegetables as well as extraordinary diversity in preparing them.
Indian Dosa Station
Dosa is a thin pancake or crepe,made from a fermented batter predominantly consisting of lentils and rice, originating from South India. In popular tradition, the origin of the dosa is linked to Udupi, probably because of the dish’s association with Udupi restaurants. The thinner and crispier version of dosa was first made in present-day Karnataka. A recipe for dosa can be found in Manasollasa, a 12th-century Sanskrit encyclopedia compiled by the Chalukya king Someshvara III, who ruled from present-day Karnataka. Throughout the centuries dosa is one of the staple foods of India and is also being sold on the streets of India up to this day. Chaat originated in northern India (now Uttar Pradesh) in the late 17th century during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan hence the famous Chaat was invented and developed throughout the centuries becoming a savory snack enjoyed by families and popular street food sold all over India. Indian Tandoori Station
Tandoor takes us back 5000 years ago, but despite the long history of tandoor, tandoori cooking was not common in Delhi until 1947. A Punjabi refugee brought tandoori cooking to Delhi. Finally, tandoori cuisine has paved its way in India and now there are hundreds of tandoori restaurants and places that offer mouth-watering tandoori chicken, tika, roti, and nan and it has become one of the most popular cuisines in India and all over the world.
